Two Things That I've Been Wanting

Something that I've been wanting for a long time now is an IPod. The reason I've been wanting this is because I could use it for music and for more storage. I really like listening to music and that's what an IPod can do for me. I also like taking pictures they create memories, memories that mean a lot to people they let you take a picture with someone that you've been close to for a long time and that means a lot to you it also just lets you take a good picture of yourself. I would also like it so that way I could FaceTime with my pals (friends). Another thing I would want is to see my inspiration my favorite rapper...Logic I like him because he raps about the truth he's taught me that you could dream to get the stars and it could happen as long as you set your mind to it. That would be amazing to see one of my favorite rappers in concert.

People Change And For Emma It Was For The Better.

At the very start of the story the main character Emma was very self conscious she always thought less of herself. Emma isn't really a person who communicates well with others she has a hard time with making friends because her only friend for a while has been her best friend Logan. She has a few from her old school which is why she liked her old school more then her new school Briarly (New School). During the summer her old school finally gave the approval of letting her attend the school. Emma was happy about going back to Lake Main (old school) because she finally gets to be with her best friend Logan again. "Logan was at my house, as always, and she grabbed me and we danced through the living room." What is evidence is showing is how Emma and Logan were both excited for Emma to go back to Lake Main. "In August, we got the yes..." What this evidence is showing how they got the approval in August during the summer. "And even though it was humiliating and I still couldn't see, I was going back to lake main." What this evidence is showing is how Emmma cared what people thought of her and even though she knew or thought people would find it humiliating she would still attend Lake Main because that's the school she wants to attend and this is one thing and wasn't gonna stop her from going there. "Don't bother with sunglasses, I told her I like it how it is" what this evidence is showing how Emma realized it doesn't matter what other people want what matters is what she wants and how she feels it doesn't matter what other people think.

It Doesn't Matter What They Think It Matters What You Think

While I was reading Blind by Rachel Delwoskin what I personally thought the theme of the story was to just be you and not care about what anyone thinks because people should accept you for you no matter what. The reason I believe this is the theme is because the main character Emma has been wearing sunglasses since her whole incident. The reason she wears them is because she has a scar that goes across her left eye and she doesn't want anyone else to see it because she thinks they might think some thing of her or start treating her differently. She doesn't want to go through that so she just keeps them on and her left eye covered at ALL times. She also realizes that she'll accept herself for her and that's all that matters. Rachel Dewoskin states "Logan has bought me eleven pairs of sunglasses since my accident." This shows that Emma like to wear her sunglasses and since her best friend Logan knows it's because of the accident. She bought her more pairs for her to wear so she could have a variety. On page 394 it says "Don't bother with sun glasses, I like it how it is." This shows how Emma knows that it doesn't matter what other people think if you like what you're doing with yourself then make yourself happy don't worry about other people. Even though at times I know people judge other people I know that as long as I'm happy the way I am then that's all that matters it's up to the other people if they want to accept me for me.

The Improvement I Need To Do During Quarter Two

What I feel like I need to work on this quarter is making time for my reading the reason I feel this way is because normally when I go home I start on my homework for the rest of my classes and do other home for my ELA class but I tell myself I'll just do my reading before I go to sleep sometimes that doesn't work other times it does but I feel like I need to make more time for my reading a way I could do this is by going straight home and finding a quiet place to read. Another thing I need to work on is staying on task normally I'm on task but at times I feel like way off task and I know that because sometimes I don't get a lot of work done that I expected myself to get done but after that day that I feel I needed to get my work done I fix it and start to get my work done what I can do is ask my teacher if I could move because Im just not getting my work done. One thing I need to continue to do is asking questions when I don't get what is going on and participating. I think I've been doing pretty good in this class just need to work on a few things and countinue doing other things.

My Amazing Blog on Blind Written By: Rachel De Woskin

My main character Emma worries a lot shes scared about going back to her old school because she wanted to go back being able to see but that didn't happen she didn't care because she knew she was going back either way. The evidence I have to support this "In August,we got the yes" another piece of evidence I have to support this "I was going back to Lake main," another piece of evidence I have to support this "and even though it was still humiliating and I still couldn't see,I was going back to lake main." This evidence shows that Emma is going back to her old school and she doesn't really care if she is blind or not she is going back to her old school with her old friends.

The Most Important Holiday of my Heritage.

An important part of my heritage is Christmas. The reason I feel that this holiday is an important piece of my heritage is because that's one of the days out of the entire year my whole family gets together. We laugh and watch Christmas movies. What we also do is we open our presents at midnight because it's midnight and its now Christmas Day. That day we eat tamales the reason we eat them on Christmas is because our ancestors ate them. That is the reason Christmas is an important part of my heritage.

The Theme for The Outsiders? Oh orange peals here it goes.

In my personal opinion the theme of The Outsiders is that at the end of the day some people only have there friends as family and not there actual family they need. The evidence I have to support this is "Since mom and dad were killed in an auto wreck." "Or I could have gotten one of the gang to come along, one of the four boys Darry and Soda and I have grown up with and consider family." " when you grow up in a tight-knit neighborhood you get to know each other real well." "We were as close as brothers" "Compared to Johnnys home, mine was heaven" "Damnit, Johnny..." He begged, slamming one fist against the wall, hammering it to make it obey his will "oh damnit,Johnny, don't die, please don't die.." These pieces of evidence are showing me that they weren't just friends they were family who stuck together with one another and if someone messed with one of they messed with all of them. That's why I liked this book because it shows family isn't always blood it's the ones that are actually there that love and care for you through it all.

First main parts of my thoughts on the outsiders - Quarter One

From what I've read so in the book The Outsiders is that there is this boy named Ponyboy he has two brothers they've all had a not so easy life their parents passed away in an auto wreck and all they have is each other and their boys on the East side called the Greasers. The evidence I have to support my statement and opinion is "since mom and dad were killed in an auto wreck" another piece of evidence I have to support this is "It's like the term "greaser" to class all us boys on the east side." A time I thought I felt as if Ponyboy had a tough question is when him and Johnny were off to get directions to the jay mountain he would question himself like what if he wasn't able to see his brothers again? Or what if he wasn't able to go back home in general? But he kne he had to leave so he wouldn't get the electric chair for murdering someone. The evidence I have to support this is "Maybe I'd never see Darry or Sodapop again?" "Jonny what are we gonna do they put you in an electric chair for killing people!" "We gotta get out of here. Get somewhere. Run away." From what I've read this book has shown me that you gotta stick with the people who are actually gonna stay in your life and be there for you because at times all you have is friends and not the type of family you need to be there.
