The Most Important Holiday of my Heritage.

An important part of my heritage is Christmas. The reason I feel that this holiday is an important piece of my heritage is because that's one of the days out of the entire year my whole family gets together. We laugh and watch Christmas movies. What we also do is we open our presents at midnight because it's midnight and its now Christmas Day. That day we eat tamales the reason we eat them on Christmas is because our ancestors ate them. That is the reason Christmas is an important part of my heritage.

The Theme for The Outsiders? Oh orange peals here it goes.

In my personal opinion the theme of The Outsiders is that at the end of the day some people only have there friends as family and not there actual family they need. The evidence I have to support this is "Since mom and dad were killed in an auto wreck." "Or I could have gotten one of the gang to come along, one of the four boys Darry and Soda and I have grown up with and consider family." " when you grow up in a tight-knit neighborhood you get to know each other real well." "We were as close as brothers" "Compared to Johnnys home, mine was heaven" "Damnit, Johnny..." He begged, slamming one fist against the wall, hammering it to make it obey his will "oh damnit,Johnny, don't die, please don't die.." These pieces of evidence are showing me that they weren't just friends they were family who stuck together with one another and if someone messed with one of they messed with all of them. That's why I liked this book because it shows family isn't always blood it's the ones that are actually there that love and care for you through it all.

First main parts of my thoughts on the outsiders - Quarter One

From what I've read so in the book The Outsiders is that there is this boy named Ponyboy he has two brothers they've all had a not so easy life their parents passed away in an auto wreck and all they have is each other and their boys on the East side called the Greasers. The evidence I have to support my statement and opinion is "since mom and dad were killed in an auto wreck" another piece of evidence I have to support this is "It's like the term "greaser" to class all us boys on the east side." A time I thought I felt as if Ponyboy had a tough question is when him and Johnny were off to get directions to the jay mountain he would question himself like what if he wasn't able to see his brothers again? Or what if he wasn't able to go back home in general? But he kne he had to leave so he wouldn't get the electric chair for murdering someone. The evidence I have to support this is "Maybe I'd never see Darry or Sodapop again?" "Jonny what are we gonna do they put you in an electric chair for killing people!" "We gotta get out of here. Get somewhere. Run away." From what I've read this book has shown me that you gotta stick with the people who are actually gonna stay in your life and be there for you because at times all you have is friends and not the type of family you need to be there.
