Two Things That I've Been Wanting

Something that I've been wanting for a long time now is an IPod. The reason I've been wanting this is because I could use it for music and for more storage. I really like listening to music and that's what an IPod can do for me. I also like taking pictures they create memories, memories that mean a lot to people they let you take a picture with someone that you've been close to for a long time and that means a lot to you it also just lets you take a good picture of yourself. I would also like it so that way I could FaceTime with my pals (friends). Another thing I would want is to see my inspiration my favorite rapper...Logic I like him because he raps about the truth he's taught me that you could dream to get the stars and it could happen as long as you set your mind to it. That would be amazing to see one of my favorite rappers in concert.

People Change And For Emma It Was For The Better.

At the very start of the story the main character Emma was very self conscious she always thought less of herself. Emma isn't really a person who communicates well with others she has a hard time with making friends because her only friend for a while has been her best friend Logan. She has a few from her old school which is why she liked her old school more then her new school Briarly (New School). During the summer her old school finally gave the approval of letting her attend the school. Emma was happy about going back to Lake Main (old school) because she finally gets to be with her best friend Logan again. "Logan was at my house, as always, and she grabbed me and we danced through the living room." What is evidence is showing is how Emma and Logan were both excited for Emma to go back to Lake Main. "In August, we got the yes..." What this evidence is showing how they got the approval in August during the summer. "And even though it was humiliating and I still couldn't see, I was going back to lake main." What this evidence is showing is how Emmma cared what people thought of her and even though she knew or thought people would find it humiliating she would still attend Lake Main because that's the school she wants to attend and this is one thing and wasn't gonna stop her from going there. "Don't bother with sunglasses, I told her I like it how it is" what this evidence is showing how Emma realized it doesn't matter what other people want what matters is what she wants and how she feels it doesn't matter what other people think.

It Doesn't Matter What They Think It Matters What You Think

While I was reading Blind by Rachel Delwoskin what I personally thought the theme of the story was to just be you and not care about what anyone thinks because people should accept you for you no matter what. The reason I believe this is the theme is because the main character Emma has been wearing sunglasses since her whole incident. The reason she wears them is because she has a scar that goes across her left eye and she doesn't want anyone else to see it because she thinks they might think some thing of her or start treating her differently. She doesn't want to go through that so she just keeps them on and her left eye covered at ALL times. She also realizes that she'll accept herself for her and that's all that matters. Rachel Dewoskin states "Logan has bought me eleven pairs of sunglasses since my accident." This shows that Emma like to wear her sunglasses and since her best friend Logan knows it's because of the accident. She bought her more pairs for her to wear so she could have a variety. On page 394 it says "Don't bother with sun glasses, I like it how it is." This shows how Emma knows that it doesn't matter what other people think if you like what you're doing with yourself then make yourself happy don't worry about other people. Even though at times I know people judge other people I know that as long as I'm happy the way I am then that's all that matters it's up to the other people if they want to accept me for me.
